The Swan Crossbody - Vintage Damier Centenaire in Brown
This Swan is an authentic Louis Vuitton Damier Poche Toilette 26 Centenaire, a rare, limited-edition vintage travel pouch released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Damier canvas (1896–1996). It features the classic brown-and-tan Damier Ebene checked coated canvas, brass hardware, and a top zip closure, functioning both as a luxury toiletries case and a retro collector’s clutch. This style is one of my FAVES, simple and classic!!! This bag is the perfect crossbody, holding plenty of things, and comes in at 10" wide by 7" tall and about 2" deep.
This bag is in pristine condition, with no marks on the coated canvas and an interior that doesn't show any wear. It has the CENTENAIRE leather patch and is numbered 8427. I've added a removeable organizer that helps to keep all of your goodies organized and to keep the bag's structure. This is where the gorgeous brown leather adjustable (42-53") crossbody strap clips to. The exact purpose and integrity of this bag is maintained this way. This is a highly sought after and collectable piece!!!

About Vuittonite: Prior to 1997, Louis Vuitton lined many of its bags with a vinyl-like material known as Vuittonite. It was used (and patented) by Louis Vuitton because its resistance to water makes it easy to clean. Unfortunately, when exposed to high heat or humidity, Vuittonite begins to deteriorate and peel away from the edges of the bag. Over time, it becomes increasingly sticky, forming a residue (which, in extreme cases, is black in color) that transfers to anything placed inside the bag. If your Vuittonite is starting to get sticky, try putting some talcum powder inside, lightly coating it. If you continue to use this bag with the insert, the Vuittonite should keep its integrity, although, try not to get the bag too warm.
