The Cygnet Crossbody - Vintage LV Monogram in Chocolate

What's a baby swan called??  You guess it, a Cygnet!!  This is the smaller version of my "Swan", but she is cuter than ever and perfect for fall!!! 

This bag began as an authentic Louis Vuitton Cosmetic Pouch Bag Poche Toilette 19.  This cutie is the perfect small crossbody, coming in at  7.25" wide by 5.5" tall and about 2" deep. She'll fit most phones! The exterior canvas is in good condition and has been cleaned thoroughly. 

This bag's Vuittonite (see below) was extremely sticky, so I've scrubbed it out, leaving a soft flannel interior and bare canvas. Due to some exterior canvas cracking, I needed to cut down the top and the zipper, but I've added some chocolate-colored leather lace to the top that has been stitched by hand.  I've also added crystal eyelets to the top sides and then added gold O-rings that allow the straps to be connected. I've added a thin chocolate brown leather strap that is 44" long.  I've also added a cute pearl/gold chain strap that can be used as well (or instead of).  Either strap may be removed.

This adorable bag may be worn crossbody or over your wristet...it is so versatile~!

About Vuittonite:  Prior to 1997, Louis Vuitton lined many of its bags with a vinyl-like material known as Vuittonite. It was used (and patented) by Louis Vuitton because its resistance to water makes it easy to clean. Unfortunately, when exposed to high heat or humidity, Vuittonite begins to deteriorate and peel away from the edges of the bag. Over time, it becomes increasingly sticky, forming a residue (which, in extreme cases, is black in color) that transfers to anything placed inside the bag. If your Vuittonite is starting to get sticky, try putting some talcum powder inside, lightly coating it.  It works!!!
