The Junco Wallet/Wristlet - Vintage Monogram with Ombre Brown
Here is another adorable Junco, this one made from an authentic Louis Vuitton Monogram Cosmetic Pouch Bag Poche Toilette 15. It's been thoroughly cleaned and is ready for a new owner!!
This bag was in great shape, including the Vuittonite (see below), so I cleaned and left as is. The date code, VI0031, indicates it was made in France in March of 2001.
The top edge is an ombre brown leather lace which has been stitched by hand. I added an "LV-like" chain that's perfect for carrying. I can switch out the chain to a longer/different one if you'd like, just message me to get options!!
This little Junco measures is L 5.9 x W 4 x D 1.5" and is perfect for throwing a few cards and cash into ... throw it in a larger bag, or carry it into the bar to give your outfit a fun flair!!
For a video review of this bag, please see my highlight bubble called "The Junco" on IG!
Please note: These are vintage bags, and will show some wear. I try to call out everything, but please make sure to look at the pictures!!
About Vuittonite: Prior to 1997, Louis Vuitton lined many of its bags with a vinyl-like material known as Vuittonite. It was used (and patented) by Louis Vuitton because its resistance to water makes it easy to clean. Unfortunately, when exposed to high heat or humidity, Vuittonite begins to deteriorate and peel away from the edges of the bag. Over time, it becomes increasingly sticky, forming a residue (which, in extreme cases, is black in color) that transfers to anything placed inside the bag. If your Vuittonite is starting to get sticky, try putting some talcum powder inside, lightly coating it. It works!!!
