The XL Peacock - Black Monogram Hobo Crossbody - Black Hardware

This beauty was created from an authentic Louis Vuitton Saumur 35 bag, and was fashioned into a hobo crossbody! This one is a bit larger, and has got enough room for lots of essentials, coming in at 13.5" wide by 10.5" tall.
There are lots of pockets in this bag....two on one side and a larger divider on the other. Because of the pocket seam on the outside of the bag, I decided to add some fringe and braiding and am OBSESSED with how it turned out!!! The gorgeous turquoise concho hides a magnetic button snap (the concho can be switched out for a different look, if desired, just contact me immediately after purchase).
The outside edges of the bag are black leather lace which have been stitched by hand. The braided 6-strand black leather strap is definitely long enough to wear crossbody (48"). The strap has a flat section that sits comfortably across your body, and then moves into a round section towards the clasp. There is a small amount of fringe after the clasp. Any or all of the fringe may be trimmed to your liking.
The hardware on this bag is brass with black PVD plating (see below).
Because the longer strap can be removed from the clasp consider purchasing the short black chunky strap sold here.

What is Black PVD :
PVD means Physical Vapor Deposition. It is a highly accurate plating process carried out in high vacuum environments at temperatures between 150 and 500 *C. It produces an EXTREMELY durable finish to prevent scratching. Typically, black hardware that is found in the marketplace is not PVD, and is generally considered a black spray paint causing it to chip and scratch off within days. PVD plating is the process used to plate high end watch hardware, golf clubs, etc., and the only successful way to make a black that will not wear off.
